Notes on the Artwork: 'A rarity for me, but this is the third version of this composition and in my opinion, the most successful. Based on a photo of myself as 10 year old, I wanted to give this version a more spontaneous feel than the previous versions. I started with a bright yellow underpainting which I then worked into, creating a soft glow in the girl’s face.' See more from Zena here
