Notes on the Artwork: 'A few years ago I did a very rough paint sketch of a girl in a red dress holding a fish and knew this was something I’d revisit when the time was right. I never normally work from found images, but when I came across the image that inspired this painting, it immediately struck a cord; something about her expression really resonated with me.
