Notes on the Artwork (From the artist):"For me, Sun Child, Moon Child speaks to the duality I’ve been working through  the bright, outward-facing self and the inward, shadow self; the visible and invisible; day and night; the wisdom that only arrives in darkness.
In therapy, I’ve been working closely with the idea of the inner child, especially through Stephanie Stahl’s framework. The way I understand it, the “sun child” is the part of me that is joyful, spontaneous, trusting the part that remembers play. The “shadow child” carries the old hurts, insecurities, and inherited beliefs that still echo quietly in adulthood. This show is born from learning to sit with both, to give space to the shadow so the sun can breathe. It’s very much a reflection of that inner work, that daily practice of compassion towards myself. But now the path turns inward, back toward the origin. These new works are offerings to the inner child gestures of holding, mending, forgiving. If the first chapter was about becoming a mother, this one is about mothering myself. The body, once mapped through pregnancy, becomes a vessel for memory, myth, and repair. Each image is both wound and balm, a place where grief and tenderness are allowed to meet."
