Notes on the Artwork: 'This painting was made from a photograph taken in Ibiza on the third day of my 40th birthday celebrations. The image brings together the light and dark shadows cast by the daybed, the softness of the morning light, and a quiet moment shared between friends.
It shows a close friend reading my second memoir, which she had thoughtfully brought as her holiday read. For me, the work connects themes of friendship, reflection, and the stillness found within celebration.'
