Notes on the Artwork: The artwork is based on several photographs taken of this broken gap in a brick wall at Crystal Palace Park.
The light and clouds were doing something unusual and gave the mundane scene an unreal feeling. My colour choices are meant to assist with this feeling of being close to reality, but not quite right, as if viewed as an nostalgic memory.
The choice of composition is meant to have a cinematic quality, suggestive of an underlying narrative.
