Notes on the artwork: Inspired by four different flowers, this “rocket ballerina” is part of a new series from Delphine which are proudly joining her existing troops of warrior women, mixing whimsy, fierceness and vulnerability. The rose, orchid, cactus, and carnivorous flower were chosen for their feisty appearance and natural defences.

If you take a closer look, each piece hides a small “inner child", one of the key symbols in Delphine's work. It’s a quiet detail that hints at something softer beneath the armor,  something that needs protecting. And in a way, the more fragile something is, the stronger the protection around it becomes.
