My name's Ibi Meier-Oruitemeka aka Studio IMO and self taught artist and mother based in Hastings.  Family, friendship, culture and how we connect as humans is what shapes my exploration. Through colour, posture, aura and gesture, I move through my creative process mainly driven by instinct and a playful curiosity that will sometimes uncover the occasional “truth” or insight into how we experience ourselves and others. A couple of unexpected milestones celebrated this year are being shortlisted for the RA summer show and my paintings being added to the Cambridge acquiring some of my work for their permanent collection. 

Fun fact: I started painting last year and I'm absolutely obsessed.
