Nadia Attura

My works balance between the real and the surreal, transporting me to distant, hazy lands. Vintage, pastel tones add an illustrative approach that gives my works a dreamlike feel that's further enhanced by my meticulous collaging. My work journeys into ideas of idealism and paradise, where the images become rich and layered. My original landscape photography has disappeared from documentary single imagery and toward a more painterly, poetic interpreted view of the world. I use a variety of mediums, including paint, ink, and chalk, which I apply directly onto the printed works, collaging these elements into the final limited editions. My proudest moment was being chosen this year by the Affordable Art Fair as the artist to create their 25th Anniversary print. It is a huge honour.
