Complex AF

Each medium is like a different language, describing a different experience or mood. Everyone is made up of a rich variety of moments, memories, thoughts and feelings and I want my art to reflect that complexity. I have a restless mind and don’t like sticking to one way of making, some days I want to sit and draw something detailed, and other days I want to throw paint at a canvas.

My artworks describe different mental states or emotional experiences, they are often self-portraits, portraits of my wife, Liuda, who inspires much of my work and has helped me know myself better.

Fun Fact: I had my paintings inspected at Polish customs once, there’s nothing more humbling than the stern, disinterested gaze of a Polish border guard.
