Surreal but believable AF

A walk through a city is normally where I get my inspiration. All my work begins with drawing, I love to challenge myself by drawing hard edged architecture. Brutalism is perhaps my favourite period; I love the bold shapes of the building and their retro futuristic optimism. I also admire the ideas behind some of the building, altruistic, utopian, social housing, not for profit!. I like to create a narrative in my work and am also always interested in the idea of flying, so if I can throw that into a city scape I will. I will add a surprising character to a mundane scene to create a surreal yet believable image the viewer can interpret as they wish. I like the idea that my images hold a snippet of a story, a glimpse of another world.

Fun Fact: My proudest moment as an artist has to be when I was accepted for the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition on my fourteenth attempt!
