"The poem above is narrated during the ending scene from my all time favourite movie. The Shape of Water is a story set during a time of division and oppression, telling a tale of love, humanity and compassion. There are many metaphors that can be seen in this movie, but for me the classic themes of good vs evil and the fight to protect something unique and exceptional is a strong representation of humankind’s relationship with planet earth. I made this image with this relationship and this poem in mind. Soft, blurry and intangible. A pairing that’s become disconnected. Like a fleeting memory that’s just out of reach."
