We’ve teamed up with the lovely folk over at Breathe Barbers to fill their gorgeous space on Columbia Road with a fresh selection of art.
Bright, welcoming and full of character, the space regularly hosts artists throughout the year. This time, Debs wanted to shake things up a little, breaking away from their usual format and teaming up with Art Friend Gallery to create a gallery-style hang bringing together a fun selection of different artists. The result is a vibrant mix of styles and personalities, adding a fresh burst of energy to the walls and the space itself.

Founded by the friendly and welcoming Debs who proudly describes Breathe as “not your normal barbers” the space shares many of the same values as Art Friend Gallery. Both of us care deeply about creating welcoming environments where everyone feels comfortable, where people can gather, and where a sense of community can grow. So collaborating together felt like a natural fit.
Breathe Barbers sits at the intersection of barbering and wellness. Think warm wooden floors, an oasis of hanging plants, luxury in-house products, and exclusive artwork hanging on exposed brick walls. It’s a place designed to slow down, breathe, and enjoy the space you’re in.
“I knew I wanted to create a beautiful, inclusive space that reflected both my personality and my values,” says Debs.

With that spirit in mind, we’ve brought together a selection of artists whose work adds colour, creativity and conversation to the walls. Whether you’re stopping by for a haircut, wandering down Columbia Road, or simply popping in to take a look, we hope the exhibition adds another layer to this already special space.
