A Sneak Peek Inside Our Artists’ Studios!

A Sneak Peek Inside Our Artists’ Studios!

I’ll admit it - I love a good snoop around an artist’s studio. There’s just something so fascinating about seeing the paint-splattered floors, half-finished canvases, and the little details that spark creativity. I love stepping into their world for a minute - it always gives me a deeper understanding of the artist and their work.

With the Affordable Art Fair just around the corner, we thought we’d take you behind the scenes of our artists’ workspaces. From neatly organised chaos to beautifully cluttered inspiration hubs, here’s where the magic happens!

Check out the photos below and hear from the artists themselves about their creative spaces.

Mathilda Mai:

My studio is my sanctuary! I’ve filled it with warm colours, plants, and cosy textures.

Lexi Laine:

Me in my underwater studio! I travel to anywhere I can find deep, clear water in natural open water environments. I have trained as a freediver in order to extend the amount of time that I can stay underwater.

James D Wilson:

I’ve not been in this studio long, but moving here has felt auspicious. I’ve never had a workspace where I can really stand back from my work and squint at it it properly. Days spent here are long and glad.

Fujiko Rose:

Notes on the space- I love to work around things that inspire me, and after looking at my books  and odd ceramics I can enjoy the peace of the countryside through my window.

Listening: At the moment I’m trying to make my way through the Discworld audio books.

Craig Keenan:

My studio space is usually super chaotic (like my brain) but when it’s clear and tidy I love it!! Then I ruin it by using it. And the cycle continues

Marie Lenclos:

My studio is my favourite place in the world. I love being there every day, involved in the slow process of painting and creating. I am in my own space amongst other creatives, each doing their thing. The atmosphere is quiet, purposeful, cut off from the outside. It’s bliss.
