Affordable Art Fair 2025: Exhibiting Artists

Ahead of this year’s Affordable Art Fair, we here at Art Friend are so excited to be bringing you such a dynamic and diverse line-up of artwork.

We are privileged to be representing a selection of amazing artists. All who will bring something unique; not only to Art Friend’s stand on I7 but also to some of the curated displays around the Affordable site in Battersea.

Below we have some information and sneak previews of what you can expect to see on ArtFriend’s stand next week:

Lexi Laine

Lexi enjoys creating ethereal photographs in some of the most unique and pristine locations around the world. She travels around the world and has also trained as a freediver in order to extend the amount of time that she can stay underwater. Most of her photographs depict a single female or multiple women, featuring highly skilled freedivers as the subjects. We are thrilled to be showcasing Lexi’s beautiful work.

You can see more examples of her work here

Marie Lenclos

Marie has trained her eye to look at the urban landscape and to see how light affects even the most mundane of scenes. What she loves most is accidentally noticing beautiful proportions on a building or the life in a brick wall. Her scenes draw you in and make you appreciate new scenes that feel strangely familiar. ArtFriend’s founder, Shona, recently had the joy of visiting Marie in her studio and we cannot wait to share the joy of Marie’s work with you.

Mathilda Mai

Mathilda’s appreciation for bold colours and the natural world is translated through her gorgeous golf-style paintings; always with a Western flare. Mathilda grew up in rural France which she feels has played a significant tole in her art. We here at ArtfFriend adore Mathilda’s artwork and are always first in line to swoon over her new pieces. Shona recently visited Mathilda at her studio and we are thrilled to be able to showcase more of Mathilda’s work on Stand I7 next week. You can also see her ‘Leopard Lady’ in the ‘Women’s History Month’ Display, ‘Picking Strawberries’ in the ‘Finds for Under £1000’ Display and ‘Cowgirl in Pyjamas II’ in the ‘Art For Kids’ Display.

Fujiko Rose

Fujiko works with contrasts, which she states is a balancing game of themes and techniques; monochromatic, traditional and modernist, east meets west etc.

She feels that her artwork is about trying to capture the essence and interest of something and then sharing the wonder she experiences towards that certain view or subject. As a previous ‘Landscape Artist of the Year’ winner, Fujiko is always inspiring and she is such a talent. We are so looking forward to representing Fujiko once again at the Affordable.

James D Wilson

James describes his work as a hybrid of painting and assemblage. His process involves cutting up his own visual materials and reconstructing the pieces ‘out of order’, celebrating the beauty of misalignment and chance. Sometimes this will take the form of a stripped-back, graphical composition, other times, as a semi-abstract landscape based on travel sketches and memory. James is never happier than when daydreaming and, as he says, he does this best staring out of a train window or up a hill somewhere. Here at ArtFriend, we adore James’ collection of work and cannot wait to share his new pieces with you. You will also find his ‘Quantocks (Haze)’ in the AAF’s ‘Finds Under £500’ display:

Craig Keenan

Craig describes his artwork as ‘blue, dreamlike, and nature inspired with hint of surrealism to it’.  The process is photographic and over 170 years old. It’s both digital and analogue.  Craig’s artworks instantly draw you in and the cyanotype process is slowly becoming synonymous to him. We cannot wait to share more of Craig’s artwork with you at the Affordable next week; his wide range of subjects bring a sense of calm and reflection. At fairs, Craig’s collection always brings a smile and we can see why.

P.s. You are cordially invited to attend the exhibition IRL and we cannot wait to see both familiar art collectors and meet new faces :
